This is what I prefer, as the C64 sound hardware is notoriously difficult to emulate correctly. You may have noticed, that the C64 soundtracks I have posted so far are all recordings from original hardware. I don't like the butchered version of 'The Desert Rocks' though.
The music is pretty good for the most part, and also includes a bunch of remixes of the Amiga soundtracks. The game is not based on the official Turrican 3/Mega Turrican, and feels more like a new game in the spirit of Turrican 2. In 2004 fans of the series tried to change that by creating their own version. Turrican 3 (C64) - Turrican 3 was never officially released on the C64. The music is more consistent than the first game and also really good. Turrican 2 (C64) - A techno-y soundtrack (mostly) by Markus Siebold. The music is absolutely fantastic though. There is also a track originally found in X-Out. Two tracks are (partial) covers of Vince DiCola's Transformers soundtrack. Turrican (C64) - This is a really weird soundtrack in terms of how it was put together. One last update for today: the 3 C64 Turrican soundtracks, they are all completely different from the Amiga versions.
